This Exceptional One-Of-A-Kind 5 1/4" In Height (Seated) Fashion Figure Was Handmade Entirely By Susan Parris. She Was Designed To Remain In The Seated Position And Her Clothes Are Not Removable.
Her Face, Hands And Shoe Lasts Have Been Individually Hand Sculpted, Painted And Finished With A Unique Glazing Process. Her Eyes Are Hand-Blown Brown Glass.
Every Detail Is Historically Accurate To 1840. Each Of Her Garments Have Been Hand Sewn Utilizing Draping And Construction Techniques Reminiscent Of Full Size Garments Of The Period. Inspired By Extant Children's Garments, Her Dress, Petticoat and Pantalets Were Created From Antique Cotton That Is Over 100 Years Old.
Her Braided Straw Bonnet Was Custom Made For This Piece And Has Been Trimmed With Silk Taffeta Ribbons, Box Pleated Vintage Lace And Re-Sized Pink Vintage Cloth Flowers.
A Silk Taffeta Ribbon Sash, Vintage Milk Glass Bead Bracelet, Mohair Wig, Painted Black Slippers And White Stockings Complete This Charming Representation Of A Young Girl From The 1840s.
